  1. Is that best tamil songs of 2013 or worst tamil songs, the leading tamil albums were not included like Mariyan, Kadal, Raja Rani, Idharkuthanne Asaipattai Balakumara……….it is better that the should visit the ENT doctor for an ear wash.. Bull shit

    • Kadal was included in the 2012 list.

Many of the albums you listed had mostly underwhelming songs. Most people with any sort of musical background or sense would agree that M. Ghibran and D. Imman had standout years in 2013.

      • See i am not the only one who is saying your list is not correct, aahroon also said mariyan is the good album, please think twice before making a list? if we open poll in facebook with all the movies you have listed and mariyan, mariyan will win for sure, you also know about that

    • idharkuthanne aasaipattai balakumaran – nee enna duniyavil irukkiray? aharoon you need to consult ent doctor….tasteless rahman worshipper

  2. Is mariyaan not the best album? What D.Imman has done (worst movies like varuthapadatha valibar sangam), This is the worst list I have ever seen, Do you know a.r.rahman, ilayaraja, Yuvan are the top composers in tamil. I think you might not have heard any of them

    • I’m well aware of who the top composers are. Sometimes they slack off, and 2013 is evidence of that. If you look at the 2012 list its filled with songs from all three of the names you listed. Ilayaraja barely made any musical output all year, Rahman’s Maryan flat out sucked, and Yuvan made some good music, but very few of the songs stuck.

Imman was ranked second because he had highly ranked songs throughout the year across multiple albums.

  3. D.Imman has done four albums Desing raja, Varuuthapadatha valibara sangam, rummy and pandiyanaadu, Can you please show me one song which is equal to rahman/raja standard?

Then why are you creating some crap list and saying it as a top 10 albums?

    • Here you go you deranged ARR worshipper. Harris and Imman are d best,,,

Desingu Raja – Ore Oru Oru Paarvai, Ammadi Ammadi
VVS – Parkathe Parkathe, Yennada Yennada
Rummy – Adiye Yenna Ragam, Koodamela Koodavechi
Pandiya Naadu – Yaeley Yaeley Maruthu

      • vera yaaru sir in-form composer , nee edhulayavadhu form ah irukkia nnu paaru appuram rahman ah out of form nnu sollu

      • imman, ghibran, anirudh, gv prakash, yuvan avargal ellam in-form thaan irukkiraargal. nee rahmanudaiya poola sappikira nirukkumpothu appozhuthu thaan intha unmayai neeyaal paarkamudiya poruthu

      • dei joseph john ommala pesittu irukka kullaye edhukku da ketta varthai use panra, Rahman thaan music la mass… ajith thaan acting la mass

      • rahman out of form naa… harris laam setthu mannula podhanjittaan…. poi porukkikko

harris = copy adippadharkagave manni pirandha oru jeevan.. oru music kooda sondhamaa poda maattaan…

  4. why didn’t you include mariyaan in the top 10, many of your movies in your top 10 is not even eligible for competing with mariyaan songs, Why is this crap list? I think you are the hater of a.r.rahman you have not included any of his songs/albums, If you hate a.r.rahman then title your article “Top 10 albums 2013(A.R.Rahman no included)”

    • Look at the bottom, under the Top 30 Songs. There’s a list of Tamil versions of Bollywood songs, in which Oliyaaga Vanthaai’s effective rank is #1, meaning if Raanjhanaa (Amibkapathy) was released in Tamil first, I would have ranked it #1, no questions asked.

This isnt 1998, so yes other composers (like Ghibran) make better music than Rahman now. Furthermore, Maryan was quite a bad album. So yes, I could call this list “Top 10 albums 2013(A.R.Rahman no included)”, but the current title works because Rahman surprisingly enough didn’t make good music in 2013.
Kadal was ranked on the 2012 list.

    • why dont you cry some more prathap. highway bad album, kochadaiyaan losing to cuckoo, yennamo yedho, maan karate, and VIP

      • sema comedy.. maan karate, VIP laam padu mattam.. idhula irundhe theriyudhu nee evvalavu mattamana rasanai ulla aalunnu.. poda poi velaya paaru

  5. Mariyaan bad album Nayyandi number-1 album, Super rating, As Aahroon Shahab said you should consult ENT doctor first then listen mariyaan songs then prepare a list.

Mariyaan is the best album of 2013 in itunes but you are saying it as bad album,

These younger generation composers like gibran, imaan, anirudh are no where near a.r.rahman , they will never achieve what a.r.rahman has achieved,

what about “ïnum konja neram”, , “nenje ezhu””, “netru aval irundhaal” and “enga pona raasa”, Thease songs are bad but songs like “chennai city gangsta”, “Teddy Bear” and “öodha colour ribbon” are super hits for you.

What a taste? very nice….keep up the good work, i’ll come often to your page and see the songs in your list and i’ll never ever hear those songs in your list becoz you’ll always write bad songs as good songs.

    • What AR Rahman has achieved is great, and he is a creative genius. That doesn’t change the fact that Maryan was a mediocre album. I could care less what albums people buy on iTunes. Its almost like ARR is India’s most famous composer or anything, and almost like that would influence sales. Atif Aslam sells more albums than Pandit Jasraj, so are you going to tell me I need to consult an ENT for saying Jasraj is a better singer?

Oodha Kalaru and Teddy Bear didnt make the list and had no chance of it. Feel free to go fangirl over Rahman on some Rahman fan forum.

  6. Okay yaar i am not fighting with you, If you say mariyan is bad, it’s okay!! but you are giving place for desingu raja, ivan vera madhiri and some other worst albums….. then why not mariyaan?

  7. What is so special in Nayyandi? I haven’t heard any songs in that movie (movie is utter flop) and songs also not that goos like vaagai sooda vaa,

if you had given no 1 for an album like vaagai soodavaa (relesed in 2011) then i would have agreed but why nayyandi!!!!

  8. You are saying mariyaan is mediocre album but worse album than mariyaan is presented in your list (desingu raja, ivan veramadhiri…)

    • stupid rahman worshipper – jeeva, OORR, sigaram thodu, tenaliraman, yennamo yedho, ennathan pesuvatho bettter then nething rahman made this year…..stupid people dont realize music evolve karte hain

  9. one of the worst list of top ten albums in 2013, I want to know on what basis the list as got prepared and that to without Mariyaan which marked as top album in iTunes which highest number of downloads.

  10. Hi, I think you forgot to include some top albums in the list also like Pathaayiram Kodi, Vana Yuddham, Paati, Chandamama, Mathil Mel Poonai, Onbadhule Guru, Maman Machan, Gouravam, Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, Yaaruda Mahesh, Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA, Ragalapuram………ha ha good ranking, my foot.

    • Many of the albums you listed were from 2012, many others are just garbage albums. Yaaruda Mahesh for instance was ranked in the Top 10 on this blog for 2012 while some of the others made the monthly lists. I will give you points for naming some obscure albums.

      • Ha ha you listed Yaaruda Mahesh in top 10, what a funny……….have you heard the songs of the film……..I think even the music director would never heard it after his composition. Now its time for you to fix appointment with any of the below listed…
BEST ENT -Dr Sonia & Dr Prateek’s ENT ,Head & Neck Center, Bangalore 560092
Madras ENT Research Foundation, Mylapore, Chennai.
Midas ENT Head & Neck Super Speciality Hospital, Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad
The Appollo Clinic, Kandivali West, Mumbai
Delhi ENT Hospital & Research Centre, Jasola, New Delhi

      • Let me know how you ranked the albums is it

        1. Based on iTunes downloads (then Mariyaan is No.1)
        2. Based on no. of audio copies sold in the year (then for sure Nayandi is not no.1)
        3. Based on popularity of the song (then where is Prayer song / fy. fy./ Kadal Raasa)
        4. Based on position in the market, then definitely its
Mariyaan which is placed no.1 position for almost 18 weeks.

Nayandi is not in no.1 position for even 1 week,
        Vanakkam Chennai for 2 weeks,
Azhagu Magan – I could not even found in the top 10 albums list,
Chithirayil Nila Choru – Not even reached no.1 position for even a week,
Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham – Not even reached no.1 position for even a week,
Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal – for 4 weeks no.1 position.
Desingu Raja – Not even reached no.1 position for even a week
Nimirnthu Nil – I don’t were you heard this album may be it would have released only in your country.
Rummy – Not even reached no.1 position for even a week
Ivan Vera Mathiri – Not even reached no.1 position for even a week

If you have any concern in my comment, please verify the below sites.
        1. apple iTunes
        2. Mirchi top 10 songs
        3. Behindhoods
        4. Raaga and so on.

Can you please specify atleast one website which supports your ranking.

Please don’t give false impression about tamil albums and it is better – either you can change the rankings considering above aspects or please close this blog.

Finally your ranking sucks and don’t show your irritation to others who loves tamil music…we are not here to build temples to our music maestro(s) but people from other part of the country and world building it after listening to our great musicians music.

      • Here’s one of India’s most prolific music bloggers thoughts on 2013 : http://itwofs.com/milliblog/2013/12/13/milliblog-annual-music-round-up-2013/

Notice how there’s little Mariyaan. If you were honest about listening to “our great musicians music” you wouldn’t sit here and lecture me about itunes album sales or whine about Mariyaan. As should be obvious – I don’t rank on how many people download an album nor on how popular an album is in. Honey Singh sells more albums (probably even in TN) than Abhishek Raghuram, so are you going to come and claim he’s a better singer? Didn’t think so. But hey, continue to let the crowd think for you. Its easier than thinking for yourself.

      • Don’t talk about the blog’s, go with the reality, if you are giving something to the society it should be logic and not your ideas, I asked for a org website to support your ranking not some report from blog(s) which they tell their own opinion not the people opinion.

      • Admin, she / he made a kidding of you and you are still answering for it. what a funny and finally she / he made a comment “My Foot” –
Admin idhathan tamil’a “Veliyila Pora Onana Vetikula utta madhiri” nu vanga.

      • Aharoon first learn to speak proper English and proper Tamil rather than littering the comment section with a mix of first grade English and Chennai Tamil slang you idiot clown.

    • Bashir neenga enna solla varinga, mudhalla adha theliva adinga and then mind your language, you have no rights to comment an individual with harsh words in a common blog.

      • Murugan, You are a genius who understand every thing about music :):):), poi orama ukkandhu evanavadhu pattu potta kelu, a.r.rahma paatta understand pannikkara alavukku nee innum valarala

      • Awesome list. Curious why GV is ranked third over Anirudh and Yuvan? Seems to me that Yuvan had a much better year.

      • Ajith (though by how stupid you are – you are more of a T. Rajender) why don’t you tell us musically why Rahman’s 2013 albums are the best? Or is that too much thinking to do?

    • Gibran and all the new composers are nowhere near a.r.rahman and they’ll never achieve what rahman has achieved so far

if mariyaan and kadal is not in the top 10 list then no nobody will accept that

      • This isnt about who is a better composer. – I would say Rahman is. in fact I think Rahman and Ilayaraja are still ahead in Tamil cinema. Rahman is a creative genuis. I do think however that ARR has recently slacked in Tamil.

Its purely about who made the best musical output in the year 2013. I ranked Imman as #1 (though I’m thinking Ghibran is more deserving now) because all of his albums had at least a couple standout songs. Since you seem to be visiting this site pretty often, you should look at the 2012 rankings, because Kadal was quite high up on there – I loved Adiye and Nenjukulle.

ARR made one mediocre album in 2013, Mariyaan (and no I don’t care about iTunes sales – you do realize iTunes penetration is low in India and that heavy marketing influences sales). I thought Enga Pona Raasa was alright, but I found Nenjae Ezhu and Kadal Raasa Naan cacophonous (both ARR and YSR are not good singers). Naetru Aval was unimpressive and Sonapareeya was a hardcore mass song without music real music value.

      • Do you think rahman is not a good singer? dil se re, Maa tujhe salaam , rehna tu, kun faya kun, khwajha mere khwajha ,tere bina and many others songs are very good. all are sung rahman only

      • Prathap – He is only a slightly better singer than Yuvan and Ilayaraja (both of whom again are bad singers – and you’ll see in January rankings, I dock Ilayaraja hard for singing a tune that could have been top 5 with a good singer).

I do not think any of those songs are well sung. Many of those tunes are great and moving but ARR’s singing is the weak link in all of the songs you listed. I think if one of the set of: Javed Ali, Vijay Prakash, KK, Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher, Sonu Nigam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang the songs you listen they would have been much better songs.

    • he also ranked Naiyaandi as #1, ranked D. Imman as one of the best composers and didnt rank Mariyaan. He also didnt rank Kadal as #1 last year. Is his list crap?

I’m not beholden to his taste – but I respect his opinion cause he’s not a partisan that refuses to try new music. Instead he listens to the albums for what they’re worth, rather than trying to pass off every album by his favorite composers (probably Amit Trivedi/Mickey J Meyer) as some form of musical diamonds.

      • Ghibran’s debut album
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaagai_Sooda_Vaa#Awards

Won, Vijay Award for Best Find of the Year
Won, Ananda Vikatan Magazine’s Top 10 Nambikkaigal (Hopes) of 2011
Won, Mirchi Music Awards South for Best Upcoming Music Director
Won, BIG FM Melody Music Award for Best Debut Music Director
Won, Vijay Music Awards for Popular Melody of the Year
Nominated, Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Tamil

        —-
His next three albums Vathikuchi, Kutti Puli, and Naiyaandi are all up for awards this year – let us see what the panelists think. People need to realize that the four albums I just noted are ALL of the albums that Ghibran made before the end of 2013. He doesn’t have Rahman’s record, but that doesn’t mean he can’t go toe to toe with Rahman on his best tracks.

      • Hi Admin,

I am not a hater of ghibran, I do like vaagai sooda vaa songs but kuttipuli, vathikuchi are not that good like vaagai sooda vaa (It’s my view)

But some guys here are thinking that he is better than a.r.rahman (I think they didn’t hear rahman albums roja, thiruda thiruda, bombay .. etc) so I am telling them “he is not as good as rahman”

The ghibran fans first need to understand what a.r.rahman has done then they’ll compare ghibran with him

        1) a.r.rahman won the national award for his first album
        2) Only indian composer who won the oscar, golden globe
        3) 2 grammy award winner…. etc

So don’t compare ghibran , anirudh and any new composer with rahman.

        rahman and raja are legends

      • I don’t think anyone here is actually claiming Ghibrans career > Rahman’s career. In fact the only comments I see pro-Ghibran are from myself and premsreecafe, and neither of us have claimed Ghibran > Rahman overall.

However, in 2013 (and in 2011 when he last composed) – Ghibran produced much better songs in Tamil than AR Rahman. And yes, multiple people think Mariyaan sucked.

The point of this list is to celebrate good songs of 2013, and think about which composers rose to the challenge in 2013, not to argue about what happened from the beginning of time to 2012.

  11. My goodness, there’s some serious logical issues going on in the comments section, so let me try to set things straight.

As a person who actually took the time to listen to the songs in this *entire list* and more, I generally agree with Deccan Music’s list here.

I’m just going to point out some quick notes, and feel free to let me know if anything I’ve said is completely incorrect.

    1. iTunes is worthless as a ranking system. Since everyone is so defensive about India, perhaps this is easier for you to recognize with a different country: the USA top 10 includes Ke$ha, Pitbull, Katy Perry, and One Direction. They are not the best musicians in the country, period. Not EVEN close. Those who believe so are too afraid to go search the trillions of other songs out there to truly find the best.

Both in India and in the USA, the top 10 songs are funded by musicians who have millions and millions of dollars/rupees to advertise everywhere, and so everyone hears them. That’s how they make money! By convincing you that, hey, it’s iTunes top 10, it MUST be the best in the world.

    2. Just because a music director is historically awesome, that doesn’t mean he was awesome in the past 365 days.
Don’t get me wrong, I love AR Rahman, I’ve known his work since I was born, and I’ve heard every one of his albums. Where does Mariyaan rank for me in my mind? In the bottom 25% of his total albums. I could list at least fifteen other AR Rahman albums better than Mariyaan. And as noted above, I agree Mariyaan is not even the strongest album of this year.

Returning to point #1, guess who has a shit ton of money? AR Rahman. No wonder everyone in the world has heard Mariyaan, and this is why its iTunes #1. Don’t think that makes him better than everyone this year tho. Who knows, perhaps Rahman is on his career downfall (here comes the hatred.)

    3. Please increase your reading comprehension.
    a) If a movie came out in 2012, do not argue it belongs in the 2013 list. Too many people have foolishly done this. Think.

    b) Deccan Music has stated that *if* Raanjhnaa came out in Tamil first, Oliyaaga Vandhai would be song #1. However, Ambikapathy is a dubbed version of Raanjhnaa. As a hindi copy, it doesn’t belong in a true Tamil song list. I agree, priority should be given to the original language.

    4. Lastly, do not criticize a list until you have heard *every song* on the list.
Give new composers a chance, and don’t just base your judgement on composers who are historically good. For all you know, your lifetime favorite song could be on that list, and you’ll never hear it because iTunes told you it’s not worth your time.

    Sincerely,
    Someone who loves all music.

    • Ismail Darbar also spoke like this when rahman got Oscar and after you know very well the situation of him. If Rahman is paid higher only because of his talent and the audio companies are competing to each other to get his music, finally people are not fools to buy and listen of unworthy songs. So before commenting some one be sure what the hell you are talking about Mr. Raghav.

    • Jaheer learn English and once you do re-read Raghav’s statement. Your reading comprehension is obviously weak. I do not care at all, who is a better composer. When I rank who was the best composer in 2013, I figure out all the songs considered musically good and figure out who composed most of them. Considering Raghav is probably the ONLY commenter that actually listened to all 30 songs, his opinion is much more valid than yours. All you’re doing is being an insulting retard and writing hagiographies for Rahman without even discussing the actual musical value of Mariyaan (his only Tamil album in 2013).

      • If you feel my reading comprehension is weak than hope so your listening comprehension is also weak and I know very well you won’t care for it. Now I have a doubt that both admin and raghav are same person. Mr. Admin even your reading comprehension is also poor along with listening skill because on all my comments I have never mentioned Rahman name then how can you judge that I am fan of ARR. I am not supporting any one but I am still insisting that your top 10 ranking is NOT obvious.

      • “I want to know on what basis the list as got prepared and that to without Mariyaan which marked as top album in iTunes which highest number of downloads.”

That’s a quote from you by the way. Not a large logical leap to guess you’re a Rahman fan. Kolaveri easily sold more tracks on iTunes than any song on Kadal and Mariyaan but somehow I don’t think you’d argue Kolaveri was the best song of 2011. By the way, in English “I have a doubt that both admin and raghav are same person” means that you do not believe we are. Regardless, there are more than two people in this world that listen to Tamil music, have an interest in good music (not just what’s popular or by our favorite composers, make intelligent arguments, and can speak proper English and Tamil.

    • I did like 3P3K a lot, but I felt that GV’s good songs across Nimirnthu Nil, Raja Rani, Udhayam NH4, and Thalaivaa outweighed Yuvan’s good musical output this year. Its tougher for a composer to make good music across multiple albums, hence though I was very impressed with Vanakkam Chennai, I didn’t give Anirudh 3rd place. Hope that helps.

  12. Hi Admin,

I liked your view against rahman but some people here are thinking that imaan, ghibraan are better than rahman..

They are writing “Rahman nt gud anymore”, “Rahman = out of form” …. etc.

Rahman is a great composer and he is in no 1 position for last 20 years, We should give some respect for him, some people are writing against him, We rahmanias are writing against the people who criticize a.r.r

When will I see the rating for Highway????

    • Rahman’s prior record speaks for itself. My beef with the Rahman fanatics is that they refuse to even listen to the tunes listed on this list because they’re blinded with rage when someone has the gall to point out that he snoozed through creating the tunes of Mariyaan.

Highway ratings will be out in Feb, since I probably wont have a chance to hear the whole album until February. I was very impressed by Sooha Saha.

      • It’s nice to see good reviews for highway songs from deccanmusic :):),

rate of repeating tunes = harris >>>>>> rahman

      • 1970 la release ah na song oda match agudhunnu laam comedy pannadhinga please… rahman andha patta kettu kooda irukka maattaru

      • Interesting. When Harris and Pritam copy they’re “copycat” and “xerox” but when there’s clear musical evidence (take a piano and play both tunes/rhythms) Rahman did, your reaction is “comedy pannadhinga”. You do realize that Rahman was playing keyboard/helping compose for his father during the 1970’s right?

I will concede that its only a couple lines so its not at all on the same level as what Pritam used to do.

      • I think you are wrong admin, rahman was born on 1966.. so he was only 4 in 1970.. By that time rahman has started learning instruments (I have read in one book – “he has started playing harmonium at the age of 4”)

  13. Rahman and ilayaraja are the only 2 genius composers in tamil music, I am hearing their music everything is there in both of their music. Rahman and raja music has soul in it

Composers like imaan, anirudh, ghibraan are spoiling the music by creating songs like kolaiveri, oodha colur, teddy bear …. etc

    • Yes – those two are the best.

Anirudh, Imman, and Ghibran have to create mass songs too. Its what sells movies and its what sells CD’s to the plebeians. Judge them on tunes like Velicha Poove Vaa, Ayyayo Ananthamey, and Kanukkul Pothivaippen. I could say ARR was ruining Tamil music with “Boom Boom Robo Da” if I used your logic.

  14. Pritam best composer now- hilarious to see rahman chamchawallahs ro raha hai yahaan. t dhoom 3 toh tamil bhaashe ke behtareen album tha

    • Just in case you didn’t know, Pritam is not one just person. It’s well known he’s a factory of many many producers under the one boss “Pritam”. No wonder the Dhoom 3 album behtareen tha, because if you took 5 good music composers to make a single movie, that soundtrack would be fantastic.

    • Interesting. Did not know that about Pritam, Raghav.

I predicted Rahamaniacs, Imman fans, and Harris and Yuvan fans but did not predict there would be Tamil Pritam fans here. This is hilarious.

      • Please don’t say imaan and harris are having fans,

In tamil nadu ilayaraja , rahman having more fans after that yuven , gv , anirudh has more fans

harris , imaan, ghibraan ….. are having very few fans

      • Harris has lots of fans – as other users have pointed out he’s won multiple awards. Imman also released a great new album with a couple of mass-worthy tunes, and Ghibran has a growing fan following and is composing for Kamal Hassan soon. More importantly though, its really not material for this list how many fans a composer has (I don’t think Justin Prabhakaran or Prem Kumar have very many), rather its important what output they produce.

I’d prefer you debate musically on why certain tracks in 2013 were better than others rather than on which composer had a better career. Its stupid to compare the careers of Ilayaraja (who has a 30+ year career as a composer) and Rahman (with 20+ years) with people with only about 10 years (Imman and Harris and Yuvan and GVP) or 2 years (Ghibran, Anirudh). Each of these eight have the ability to consistently create albums with multiple beautiful and innovative tracks.

My metric for which composer won is strictly on which composer made the most albums with multiple great tracks. In that sense, ARR and Anirudh (both only one album) and Dharan (who usually makes one amazing track and 4-6 mediocre ones per album) get penalized, while Imman, Ghibran, Yuvan, and GVP get helped.

    • go and hear your pritam copycat songs, everybody in india knows who the geius is?

It is A.R.Rahman, This page admin also knows as he also told “rahman is the best composer”

      • pritam might hav copied ek do gaane lekin uske gaana is zamaane main rahman toh touch nahi kar sakte hai….barfi…cocktail….once upon a time in mumbai….dhoom 3

      • hindi theriyadhu daa paradesi… tamil songs page la vandhu onnu tamil la type pannu… illa english la type pannu… enna mayirukku da hindi la panra

      • Thambi pritam music will never touch a.r.rahman’s music and a.r.rahman is a having lot of talent in creating his own music… pritam is having lot of talent in copying from others

      • Pritam is the worst music director who always lifts tunes form others… please don’t talk about him in this page.. There are real talents like rahman, ilayaraja … MukherjeeP please hear raja and rahman songs then you’ll get to know who the real talents are?

        Admin am i wrong???

      • I don’t think Pritam is the worst music director, far from it infact. Since he stopped copying, I think he’s still managed to stay at the top of Bollywood on his own merit. However, as Raghav says, that might be due to the fact that he has a million very competent assistants that help him produce under his name (Look at the top song on the Telugu 2013 list – that’s composed by a former Team Pritam member).

      • Mr. Mukherjee , the world knows who is best, first ask Pritam to compose his own tunes then we will compare him with Rahman. Next – to live in Rahman wet dreams world also need some prerequisite and you are not capable to live in that world too.

      • pritam uske haath se compose kiye gaane rahman ke behtar gaane compose karte hai…..sadda haq ke uper aashiyan aur daaru desi….aur pritam naachne ke liye acche gaane bante hai….aur bahut acche gayakon istemaal karte hai…aur admin ne kaha tha pritam is adhunik zamaane main pritam toh sangeet ke raja hai

      • @MukherjeeP – When you are leaving comments for tamil album(s), write it in English / Tanglish (Tamil+English) but don’t write it in Hinlish – nobody understands. It something like Dog barks on Sun…………its quite similar to Pritam and Rahman respectively.

  15. Harris iz king….ajith u r rong
harris utaiya rasigargalukku isaikku aatamudiyum….rahmanin rasigargal veru taleban mathiri oru vazhi thaan yosikkamudikkirathu

2001: Won – Best Music Director – Minnale
2003: Won – Best Music Director – Kaakha Kaakha
2005: Won – Best Music Director – Anniyan
2008: Won – Best Music Director – Vaaranam Aayiram
2009: Won – Best Music Director – Ayan

  16. enga irundhu daa kelambureenga harris fans laam… ippo avan patta laam kaadhu kuduthu ketka mudiyala

repeating his own tunes again and again
copying tunes from rahman and also from english albums

Ghibraan, anirudh, gv, yuvan are better composers than harris jeyaraj… they are having some talent.. harris is utter copy cat …

    • Agreed. Kochadaiyaan is a phenomenal album – though with M. Ghibran, Sean Roldan, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ilayaraja, D. Imman, Anirudh, Harris Jayaraj, Santhosh Narayanan, Sivamani, G. V. Prakash Kumar, N. R. Raghunanthan, Gopi Sunder, James Vasanthan, Vijay Antony, Dharan, Charles Bosco and even Rahman himself coming out with other albums it will remain to be seen how Kochadaiyaan (the album and the songs) stacks up in December. Should be a great year for Tamil music.

      • Mana Pennin Sathyam , Mana Maganin Sathyam, Medhuvaga Thaan and Idhayam are very good songs….. I am expecting thease 4 in top 10 of March 2014..

    • The civilized people that visit this blog visit to learn about music they wouldnt have heard otherwise. The uncivilized people here worship AR Rahman. Wanna Mash Up?

  17. so many idiots are reading this blog. anyone with an ear for music knows imman, santhosh narayanan, ghibran, raghunanthan, and gv prakash are giving the good music these days. thank you admin for not blindly worshipping rahman
